The Institutional Center for Scientific Research will be presenting the research colloquium
“Introductory Stats Workshop: Correlation, T-Test, & Chi-Square”, next
Wednesday, June 147:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Miami Campus Multi-Purpose Room.
All students and faculty engaged in research or planning to be (doctoral projects, dissertations, theses, independent research studies) are invited to attend.
Dr. Marietta Suarez, M.S. Ed., who received her Master’s in Research, Measurement and Evaluation (RME) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Miami, will be the main speaker. Prior to earning her Master’s in RME, she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami. She has taught Statistics courses at the University of Miami, and has worked on several grant-funded research studies in different fields within the social sciences. She has extensive experience in the provision of statistical training workshops and has provided statistical consultation to faculty and students at the Dunspaugh-Dalton Community and Educational Well-Being Research Center at the School of Education and Human Development help desk. Her professional interests include statistical consulting; program development, evaluation, and implementation; and her field-specific expertise is in meta-analysis.
