Albizu University has two provosts, one for each of its main campuses.

Dr. Etiony Aldarondo is provost of the Miami campus, and

Dr. Julio Santana serves as provost of the San Juan campus.

The provost leads the campus in fulfilling the university’s mission of education, research, and service to the community. The mission is focused on academic excellence from a pluralistic and multidimensional perspective, the education of students to work in a highly complex and diverse society, the improvement of the quality of life in our communities by training professionals with multicultural competencies, and an educational philosophy based on a commitment to social responsibility in all programs and services.

The provost ensures that, through the implementation of the strategic plan derived from the university’s mission, all members of the campus community—faculty, administrators, staff, and students—work together to promote the mission. The provost provides vision, gathers and manages resources, and facilitates a work environment that sustains the university’s goals and objectives.

The Office of the Provost on each campus works in in close collaboration with the President’s Office and with faculty, staff, students, and community members to ensure that the campus is a vital presence in the community and a responsible steward of the university’s mission for higher education.
